Makeshift offers tools and space for artists, designers, makers, and builders across many unique disciplines. The price of a base membership is $150/month, and includes 24/7 access to all Common Spaces and any Project Spaces (training required). Members are able to book any of the Common Spaces for events, meetings, group work sessions and more.

We share the space at Makeshift, and want to foster a community that feels ownership over our studio. We also understand the financial struggles working in a creative field and want to make a studio that can be afforded through other means. Show the space some love, help us build our community, and we’ll offer you discounts on your rent!
Below are some of the things you can do:
Teach membership training to a new member in one of the project spaces and recieve $25 off your monthly membership fee. Valid once per calendar month.
Take care of the studio plants and receive $15 off your monthly membership fee. Valid once per calendar month.
Organize and cook a dinner for studio members and receive $25 off your monthly membership fee. Valid once per calendar month.
Perform cleaning tasks each week during the month to receive $25 off your monthly membership fee. Valid once per calendar month.
Social Media Aficionado
Tag @makeshiftcollective in an instagram post or story and receive $5 off your monthly membership fee. Valid for up to five (3) posts or $15 per calendar month.
Host an educational or creative workshop at Makeshift and receive $35 off your monthly membership fee. Valid once per calendar month.
Where does your money go?
The money we receive from members goes directly to rent and operating costs. Core members who run the space do so on a volunteer basis because they love doing it. If we manage to save a little bit, you’ll see any extra go into studio improvements or new tools for project spaces.
