Workshop: Learn to Paint Food in Watercolour

  • Makeshift Collective 410 Spadina Avenue (2nd Floor) Toronto, ON, M5T 2G7 Canada (map)

An exclusive watercolour workshop held by Justine Wong, the illustrator behind the "21 Days in Japan: An Illustrative Study of Japanese Cuisine" project. In this 2-hour session, we will be learning to paint food from sketch to finish and to explore the magic behind everyday documentation.

All participants will also take home a swag bag, a painting cheat sheet to help with their own future projects, and a tutorial video in case they forget any of the steps they learned in the workshop. Drawing and painting supplies provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies to experiment with.

Justine Wong is a full-time freelance illustrator based in Toronto and Tokyo. She is the creator of the project ‘21 Days in Japan: An Illustrative Study on Japanese Cuisine’, consisting of 100 paintings of her meals throughout Japan.
